Thursday Flamborough Criteriums!

After 6 nights the Flamborough Criterium has wound up. Turnout was disappointing although all who attended were enthusiastic. 

July 13th was our final night and we had 8 riders. Mike Hruska won after lapping the field. However cumulative points saw Rob Zych edge out Mike by 1 point. Medals were awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd and neat cycling shorts gifted by Central Cycle were handed out. Gina - as fastest woman we have a set of "Porn Star" cycling socks we will be sending you!

We appreciate those who showed up for our Flamborough season and apologize for having to wind it up. We had hoped the new formula might have attracted more riders.

 Here is how they work!

1st race 7pm - 50 lap race (0.5km lap). All riders will be provided with a numbers to wear. Lapped riders may rejoin the pack but cannot take a lead role. Points for first 10 places (10,9,8...)

2nd race approx 7:50pm 20 laps - restricted to dropped riders. Points to first 5 places (5,4,3...)

Entry Fee full members $5 associate members $7 (associates must be OCA insured riders)

Due to the nature of the track ( used for car racing etc) event will be cancelled if the track is wet prior to the event or it rains during same - becomes very slick.
