Olympics

In the road race Sue Palmer-Komar placed 11th seconds behind Jeannie Longo and ahead of the pack. The three Canadians dominated the break away action with Sue 1 minute in the lead at the end of the 7th lap.

Sue placed 17th 2 seconds behind Lynne Bisette in the 24km TT and 2:14 behind the winner

On to the Worlds Oct 2nd!

Silver & bronze for HCC riders at Provincials!

Nada Pasko took 2nd in the Master Women's with a time of 47:23 over 30km. Peter Morris took 3rd in Masters D with a 47:15 over same distance.

Other member results - Charlie Bryer did a 15kmin 23:24 in under 17s  to place 5th. Rob Cheskey in Master C did 39km in 55:42 to place 6th, Naomi Cermak 9th in Elite Women 30km at 48:30, Doug Taylor 9th in Master C 39km with 1:01:00 & Peter Farr 32nd in Master A 39km with 1:03:05

Fitchburg Classic

Sue Palmer-Komar won this US 4 stage race riding for Genesis. Sue then came in 2nd in the Altuna Stage Race

Coupe des Amerique

Rob Cheskey placed 6th in Masters C in this top rated stage race in Sutton Que. Rob also did a personal best 15km TT in Oakville in 20:20

Nationals


Thursday at the Nationals saw Sue Palmer-Komar take 1st place in Ladies-Elite with a time of 43:20 over 30km besting Lynn Bessette by 41 seconds.

Sunday saw Sue in a break in the hilly road race and coming in 4th. Next stop Athens!



Sean Scott placed 6th in the Mens' Elite 40km with a time of 56:55 (hilly course)

Fred Pepper finished 4th in Masters B TT (25km) with a time of 37:14. In the RR Fred had some difficulty on the hill and finished 1 minute off the peleton. Our apologies for our earlier remark wondering where Fred was! He was at the front!

Rob Cheskey came in 7th in Masters C 25km TT with a time of 39:20 3:27 off the fastest. In the 84km RR Rob came in 8th in same time finish.

Peter Morris did a 44:21 in his 25km TT to come in 5th and 5th again in the 40km "D" RR 1:23 off the winner.
