Jamie Kerr Memorial Best Overall Champion
Jamie Kerr was a young member of HCC who was killed in the
late eighties while racing a criterium in St Catherine's. Jamie's family created
the trophy award in memory of Jamie. It is awarded on a points basis for results
in best of 5 15km TT, 40 & 100km RR, both 40km TT, the hill climb & Snake
hill climb.

The Tom Parry Memorial Trophy Is awarded for results in the 2 15km TTC events and the 40km
TT (not the Nella). Tom had not ridden for a number of years but was active in
catering to cyclists. Tom ran the famous Halton Hilly 100 and retired from Hydro
to run a restaurant in St George that become the starting point for more cycling
tours than one could possibly imagine.

Hogben 80km TT
This trophy was donated by the Hamilton Century CC (precursor
of HCC) in memory of Gus Hogben. Gus was superb time triallist who lost an arm
but continued to ride and win. Ultimately he was killed by a drunken driver in
the late 40's on Lakeshore. The award was originally open to any club riders and
until recently for an 80km TT. In 2004 it became a 40km event due to a lack of
interest in riding 80km.

Andy Keyes Century Road Race
Trophy was donated by Andy Keyes a club rider in the 70's
& early 80's. Event was originally a 100 mile event run for many years in N
Burlington. More recently the event reduced to 80km and in 2003 returned to a
metric century in Ayr.

Fastest 15km TT
The Derek Walton trophy. Derek is/was an avid time triallist
who spent his summers time trialling in the UK. Originally a Thursday night
event it has recently moved to Tuesdays and currently is held on the White Swan
course.

Most Improved Rider (formerly Mt Nemo Series Trophy)
Originally awarded to the HCC rider
who scored the most points in the Mt Nemo Tuesday night race (42km RR). The club
event was attracting up to 100 riders and eventually was cancelled due to
increasing danger at the end of the '91 season. Trophy has since been awarded to
the HCC rider who has exhibited the greatest improvement in racing results over
the season.
